Virtual Vestibular Physiotherapy

Virtual Vestibular Physiotherapy* is an excellent alternative when in-person care is not an option or simply inconvenient. Specialized vestibular care is often not available in smaller communities and access to expert care can be very limited. In addition, vertigo can seriously limit your ability to leave home, drive or even tolerate being a passenger in the car.

Through the help of video technology, virtual sessions are an effective alternative to in-person care. You will experience the same high-quality consultation and treatment experience to get you on the right track towards recovery. Vestibular rehabilitation emphasizes thorough information gathering, therapeutic coaching, exercise prescription and detailed lifestyle education that will equip you with everything you need to recover from the comfort of your home.

*Must be a resident of Ontario

What to expect from Vestibular physiotherapy:

Your Physiotherapist will conduct a thorough assessment, including reviewing your medical records, taking a full subjective history, and completing a detailed physical, neurological and vestibular assessment.

Following the assessment, your therapist will discuss treatment options and work with you to set rehabilitation goals. Treatment options and frequency are individualized and dependent upon the individual and the condition.

Re-assessments will help to evaluate progress and guide further intervention. Your physiotherapist is happy to answer any questions you have and will do their best to keep you and your medical team informed.
